Torrisdale Trekking
Lorna MacKay runs Torrisdale trekking which is a 25 minute drive away from Forss House on the A836, west, towards Tongue. Everyone from beginners to the experienced is welcome along with children over the age of 4.
Lorna runs mostly beach rides for 1 to 2 hours or a half or full day. Rides can be on a one-to-one basis or for groups- it's all tailored to suit you!

Achalone Activities
Marion Bain's stables just outside Halkirk are a 15 minute drive away and offer horse riding for all standards of riders and children above the age of 3.
BHS approved instructors can offer lessons for riders looking to improve, hacking for experienced riders who just want to enjoy the countryside on horse back with an instructor as a guide and trekking for beginners and children (horses led by instructor on foot).
Hard hats are provided but suitable footwear is required, talk to Marion about this when you phone to avoid any disappointment.
